Model Courts of Justice

Welcome!

On behalf of our academic and organization teams, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the first and most prestigious international moot court event in Turkey. Model Courts of Justice is very special in that it is the first event in Turkey to host simulations of international judicial bodies solely in English. Hosted each year by the students of Faculty of Law Ankara University, Model Courts of Justice has come a long way since its inaugural meeting in 2012, hosting a single moot court rendition of the International Court of Justice, from which it derives its name.

With a total of over 40 moots of various international judicial institutions hosted since Model Courts of Justice has made a significant impact among aspiring lawyers from leading law schools both in Turkey and around the world.

This year in 2022 we will celebrate the 11th year of Model Courts of Justice. Through eleven successive teams, many members of which are now practicing lawyers, diplomats, and scholars, Model Courts of Justice has accrued the reputation and goodwill that has brought it so far. It is my utmost pleasure to lead the most dedicated team which consists of moot enthusiasts. To begin the new era of Model Courts of Justice we brought you the most sensational cases of each court. Since its dawn, our conference has never ceased to explore new horizons every year, and our 11th annual session is no exception. Building upon the cumulative experience of our predecessors, each international judicial institution to be simulated has been meticulously prepared to cultivate the next generation of international law practitioners. I once again would like to welcome you all to Model Courts of Justice 2022!
